Last night I met up with some friends outside of city hall in Norwich to await the arrival of the firework display that was to become known as the big boom 2015.
It was dark, it was cold and it was raining but that didn’t put us of from watching the firework display and even though we had to wait for about an hour we were all really looking forward to it.The fireworks themselves were coming from the Norwich castle area but as that area was cordoned off, the area behind the market was next best thing.
Bonfire Night and the firework display that usually follow it are one of my favourite events of the year and this one did not disappoint. It was cool to see some different fireworks being used and the music that accompanied it was all classic rock tunes which we enjoyed listening to quite a lot. They had songs by Queen, Meet Loaf, Guns & Roses and many more classic tunes which was pretty cool and it just made the whole evening more enjoyable.
The only thing that I think could have made the event even better was if they had had a few more of the bigger exploding fireworks as they seemed to use a lot more of the smaller ones this year. Another thing thing that could have been improved was the finale as the boom was not quite as big as it was last year although it certainly looked pretty cool from where I was standing.
