Kings and Queens of Karaoke

Last night I went out with some good friends to a great bar we all know called the Brickmakers which is situated on the outskirts of Norwich. It is a great venue and the reason we were all there was for the karaoke night that they had going on that evening.

It has been quite some time since we last went to a karaoke night down the brickmakers, in fact I think this may just be the first time I have been this year. We used to go quite regularly and do a few songs each with some group ones thrown in for good measure. But times changes and people just get a bit to busy to go out and so nights out like this have fallen by the wayside.

However we decided to revive it for one night in order to support a good friend of ours who has been going through a difficult time of late. Our friend is a regular of the fine establishment known as the Brickmakers and it was great to be able to go along with some good friends, sing a few songs and have a laugh and yes before you ask I did do a couple of tunes.

All of us got up at various points during the night to do a few songs, my particular favourite was when David and Jessi got up on stage to do a duet of Happy by Pharrell Williams. Although the other performances were pretty great too and it was nice to have a good crowd in.

However the best one was when we did Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen as a group and even managed to get me on stage to join in. This song has been sung many times by my group of friends but I think that was the first one I had actually been a part of and I had a lot of fun singing it with everyone.

The night was a lot of fun and hopefully it won’t be too long before we get to do something like this again.
