A little while back I went to see a film that I have been wanting to watch for quite while and that film is Storks. The animated adventure is directed by Doug Sweetland & Nicholas Stoller, the latter of the two also wrote the film that stars Andy Samberg, Katie Crown as well as Keegan-Michael Key & Jordan Peele amongst many others.
Essentially Storks is all about, well its all about storks who have given up delivering babies and moved on to package delivery. Everything is going fine until Hunter (Kelsey Grammer) orders Junior (Andy Samberg) to fire orphan Tulip (Katie Crown) who accidentally then creates a baby which her and junior have to deliver before they are discovered.
Andy Samberg and Katie Crown both work really well together and there is a lot of comedy that results from there interactions. It is through these interactions that the audience learns more about the characters and it it was great to see them change as a result.
There is also a character called Pigeon Toady voiced by Stephen Glickman who essentially wants to take Junior’s spot as the new boss. Much like Marvels villains he doesn’t actually do a whole lot but he did make things interesting.
Sarah Gardner (Jennifer Aniston), Henry Gardner (Ty Burrell) and their son Nate (Anton Starkman), the one who actually asked for the kid pop up throughout the film. They are mostly there to promote the message that there is more to life than work.
The Alpha Wolf (Keegan-Michael Key) and the Beta Wolf (Jordan Peele) are both very funny guys and they are really funny in this film. I really liked the transformations the wolves did although if you have watched the trailer then you probably have already seen the best ones.
Overall Storks is a pretty decent film, it has a nice story, lots of laughs and it is suitable for the whole family. If you have young kids or just want to watch a nice simple film then this is the film for you.
