Ghostel

Have you ever wanted to be a Ghost and scare the living daylights out of some guests in a hotel, well now you can. Ghostel is a game for 2-4 players which sees players rolling dice and moving their ghosts around the hotel in order to scare the guests away. Do you think you have what it takes to be the scariest ghost in the hotel?

The game itself was designed by Bevan Clatworthy and features some really nice artwork by Tyler Johnson. In addition to being a lot of fun it was also pretty quick to play for this type of game and that was helped massively be how easy it was to pick up. IMG_20170425_223135570

Guests are worth different amounts of points depending on how tough they are to get rid off. However to get rid of them your going to have to reach their scare level and that can mean you might need help from your fellow ghosts.

Much like Plague Inc the points you receive in this game can be used to acquire upgrades and additional dice. You can only place three dice each round but by adding in additional dice and even a D8 you can increase you chances of being the scariest ghost. Likewise the upgrades can give you various boosts to help you frighten off the guests.

Sure there is a bit of luck involved with the rolling the dice but with randomised guests and ways to mitigate there are ways for you to rack up the points. This would certainly be a great game for the end of the night or if you want a more casual game and you don’t have a lot of time to play.
